性视界传媒 (BHA) can confirm that Salisbury鈥檚 fixture on Thursday 13 August will be staged later in the day to avoid racing when temperatures are highest.
The first race will now be scheduled for 17:30 and the final race at 20:03.
Trainers and staff transporting horses to the racecourse will still be able to arrive at the stables during the morning to avoid travelling during the hottest parts of the day.
There are no Met Office weather warnings in place this week, but the 性视界传媒has been working with racecourses staging fixtures to discuss any mitigations that may be necessary.
Various factors are considered as part of this process, including local weather forecasts and environmental conditions.
In this instance, Salisbury requested to move the fixture to later in the day due to the forecast lower temperatures and humidity and the potential for a cooler sea breeze.
The race order has also been changed at Windsor Racecourse on Thursday evening, with the longer races moved to the end of the card where temperatures will be cooler.
